Update Feb. 5th 2010

Wow where to begin. It has been a while since the Thomas Family (especially the Thomas daughter) has updated the website. We all blame Amanda for the procrastination. So we will begin here. Well the groundhog saw it's shadow. 6 more weeks of winter. Hoorah!! Meaning more time till racing season. DANG! But more time to do those last few touches to the race car. We bought a dwarf car at the end of the 2009 racing season. But as time went on we decided that the dwarf car was not the way we wanted to go. So we bought a front wheel drive car to start out the 2010 racing season. This year is going to be all about fun. No breaking our backs, heart attacks, and family arguments. Just pure fun like racing is suppose to be when your main race team is just all family. We stuck with the same colors as all four race cars have been. Orange, Yellow and white. Candy corn colors. We have pretty much all the major work done. Now on to the minor touchups. This saturday is the Mottville Speedway banquet. Even though we dropped out of the 2009 season midway through, Luke still came out with a 7th place overall finish. The first weekend of racing starts March 27th at Mottville. We aren't picking a track to race for points, just going to do some traveling hoping to race at Angola, New Paris, Mottville, and Anderson. Adding some additional tracks when we want to travel.  As for now this is just the basic details after so long of not updating the site. Check back as we will update more in the near future.

Update May 1, 2009

Our car was turned down at New Paris. So we have chosen Mottville Speedway as our home track.  Luke is second in points and has won his first ever heat race. Its a small quarter mile flat track but very nice. We have made many nice friends and really enjoy the track.

Update: April 12, 2009

Last night was our first race of the season. We traveled to Mottville, Michigan to Mottville Speedway. They raced two classes: mini stocks and go karts.  There were only 10 cars but we had a blast. Luke got fifth in both heats and the feature. We thought that was pretty good in a brand new car on a brand new track. There tech guy checked the car top to bottom and told the owner of the track the only thing not stock is the body. The owner said that it was okay to race. Everybody in the pits loved the car. Talked to alot of our friends from New Paris. Next week is open house at New Paris and we will be there to let their tech make a ruling on our car. We will cross our fingers and hope for the best.

Some information on Luke

Luke's first racing apperance was at Angola Motor Speedway in 2008 at the age of 14. He began driving a Ford Ranger truck. Luke and dad decided to sell the truck and replace it with a Ford Mustang. He finished out the year with the mustang. In 2009, the Thomas family tore everything off the Mustang and replaced it with a homemade body. The body caused some problems with tracks not allowing Luke to race. So the family decided to sell the Mustang and buy a Dwarf car. Luke never drove the dwarf car before it was sold for a front wheel drive car. Luke will be starting out the 2010 season in a Ford Escort front wheel drive.
