Update May 23, 2010
Had a great race night at Angola last night. Luke got first in the "B" heat for the fwd's and 2nd in the feature among the fwd's. In the heat, Luke was battling for third place among both the fwd's and the mini stocks until he was tapped in turn three by a mini stock. He corrected the spin and in turn finished fourth among the minis but 1st within the fwd's. More results to come when available.
Update May 2, 2010
Last night was opening day at Angola Motor Speedway. And a wet one it was. The weather held out for practice and time trials. Overall there ware eight front wheel drives. Mark Mason ended up with the win with Luke finishing in fifth place. We will place the results from Angola when they become available. Next Saturday the Thomas Team will not be racing due to Dekalb High School's Prom that Luke will be attending with his girlfriend. A decision has not been made on the 15th on where we will be racing but back to Angola on the 22nd. Come on out and root Luke on!
Update April 11, 2010
The car is now running great. Got fourth in the first heat, third in the second heat, and fourth in the hotly tested feature. Would have been better except had a few people running into him. Next weekend the Thomas family will be taking a week off due to the pickup of our new motor for the USST truck. We will be racing Angola May 1st!
Update March 28,2010 Raceday Recap
The first race of the season couldn't have been any better! We had a BLAST!!! Kicked some butt. Luke took second in both heats and fourth in the feature. AND THEN someone in the audience put up some cash and they had a special free for all race. For those of you who aren't sure what that is, they allowed all classes to race together. There were two front wheel drives, two mini stocks, and two street stocks starting the free for all race. Luke led the race for four laps and finish fourth overall. One spot out of the money, Darn it! It was crazy to see them race with those street stocks. He ended up third in points first night but we aren't too worried about the points standings because we aren't going to race full time. It was the largest crowd we have seen at Mottville! Luke's girlfriend's parents even came to watch Luke!
Update Feb. 25, 2010
There seems to be alot of rumors filtering around about the future of the Thomas Racing team. So here is the official word. The Thomas Family has bought a USST (formally known as short track trucks) truck. The 2010 season will be mostly raced with the front wheel drive car until the truck is ready to make an appearence. Pictures are being added to the gallery of what it looked like when we went to check out the truck. Be sure to check them out and check back for further updates!

Update Feb. 5th 2010
Wow where to begin. It has been a while since the Thomas Family (especially the Thomas daughter) has updated the website. We all blame Amanda for the procrastination. So we will begin here. Well the groundhog saw it's shadow. 6 more weeks of winter. Hoorah!! Meaning more time till racing season. DANG! But more time to do those last few touches to the race car. We bought a dwarf car at the end of the 2009 racing season. But as time went on we decided that the dwarf car was not the way we wanted to go. So we bought a front wheel drive car to start out the 2010 racing season. This year is going to be all about fun. No breaking our backs, heart attacks, and family arguments. Just pure fun like racing is suppose to be when your main race team is just all family. We stuck with the same colors as all four race cars have been. Orange, Yellow and white. Candy corn colors. We have pretty much all the major work done. Now on to the minor touchups. This saturday is the Mottville Speedway banquet. Even though we dropped out of the 2009 season midway through, Luke still came out with a 7th place overall finish. The first weekend of racing starts March 27th at Mottville. We aren't picking a track to race for points, just going to do some traveling hoping to race at Angola, New Paris, Mottville, and Anderson. Adding some additional tracks when we want to travel. As for now this is just the basic details after so long of not updating the site. Check back as we will update more in the near future.

Some information on Luke
Luke's first racing apperance was at Angola Motor Speedway in 2008 at the age of 14. He began driving a Ford Ranger truck. Luke and dad decided to sell the truck and replace it with a Ford Mustang. He finished out the year with the mustang. In 2009, the Thomas family tore everything off the Mustang and replaced it with a homemade body. The body caused some problems with tracks not allowing Luke to race. So the family decided to sell the Mustang and buy a Dwarf car. Luke never drove the dwarf car before it was sold for a front wheel drive car. Luke will be starting out the 2010 season in a Ford Escort front wheel drive.
